Why We Do What We Do: A Day in the Life at Blossom Women’s Clinic
The Heartbeat of Indralok Phase 3
If you walk past Shop No. 20 in Pratiksha Enclave, you’ll see the glass doors of Blossom Women’s Wellness Clinic. To a passerby, it looks like a medical facility. But to us—Dr. Sarita Channawar and the entire team—it is a sanctuary.
A clinic isn’t just made of stethoscopes, ultrasound machines, and prescriptions. It is built on stories
Many patients ask us, “Doctor, how do you do this every day?” The answer lies in the moments that happen between the appointments. We wanted to take you behind the scenes to show you a day in our life, and the deep-seated “Why” that drives us to open our doors every morning in Bhayandar.
A Day in Our Life
The Calm Before the Blossom
The day begins before the first patient arrives. As the morning sun hits New Golden Nest Road, our team is already inside, preparing the space.
For us, hygiene isn’t just a protocol; it’s a promise. We spend the first hour ensuring that every surface is sterilized, every instrument is prepped, and the consultation rooms are welcoming. We know that visiting a gynecologist can be daunting for many women. The smell of harsh chemicals or a chaotic room only adds to that anxiety. We work hard to ensure that when you walk in, you feel a sense of calm, not clinical coldness.
During this time, Dr. Sarita Channawar is often found reviewing patient files. She looks over the previous day’s lab reports from Agilus/RK Lab upstairs, checking hormone levels for fertility patients or tracking the growth charts of unborn babies. We believe in being prepared because when you are in the consultation chair, you deserve 100% of our focus.
The Morning Rush – A Tapestry of Emotions
By mid-morning, the clinic is alive. If you sat in our reception, you would see a cross-section of womanhood.
💖 The Joy of New Life
First, we might see a couple coming in for their 12-week scan. There is a specific kind of magic in the room when parents hear their baby’s heartbeat for the very first time. It’s a rhythmic whoosh-whoosh that fills the room and often brings tears to eyes. Being part of that moment is a privilege we never take for granted.
😥 The Anxiety of the Unknown
Right after, we might see a young college student, nervous and clutching her bag. She’s dealing with irregular periods, acne, and weight gain—classic signs of PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome). She’s scared because she’s read frightening things online. This is “Why” we do it. We don’t just prescribe medication. We sit with her. We explain that PCOS is manageable. We talk about lifestyle, diet, and mental health. We watch the fear leave her face as she realizes she isn’t broken; she just needs a little help. Empowering young women to understand their bodies is one of our core missions.
The “Invisible” Work
The middle of the day is often reserved for the work you don’t see.
Medicine is an ever-changing field. Dr. Sarita and the team dedicate time to staying updated on the latest advancements in Infertility Treatments and Gynecological Surgeries. We discuss complex cases, consult with specialists if needed, and follow up on patients who are recovering at home.
This is also when we handle the emotional weight of Infertility Counseling. Infertility can feel like a lonely, uphill battle. When a couple sits across from us, exhausted by negative test results, we become more than just doctors. We become partners in their journey. We map out ovulation cycles, discuss IUI or IVF options, and most importantly, we offer hope. We do this because we know that the road to parenthood isn’t always a straight line, and no one should have to walk it alone.
The Evening Shift – Supporting the Superwomen
As the evening sets in, the dynamic changes. We see the working women—the teachers, the corporate employees, the homemakers—who finally have time to care for themselves after caring for everyone else all day.
We often see women in their 40s and 50s coming in with questions about Menopause. They report hot flashes, mood swings, or just “feeling off.” Society often tells women to just “deal with it,” but at Blossom, we challenge that narrative. Why do we do it? Because we believe that the second half of a woman’s life should be just as vibrant and healthy as the first. We help them navigate hormone changes so they can continue to lead active, fulfilling lives.
The Late Night Calls: When Duty Calls
Our day doesn’t always end when the clinic shutters go down. Obstetrics is a 24/7 commitment.
Sometimes, the phone rings at 2:00 AM. A patient is in labor. Dr. Sarita rushes to the affiliated hospital. The fatigue of the day vanishes instantly. There is a singular focus in the labor room: Safety. Ensuring the mother is safe, and the baby is distressed-free. When that baby is finally born—when that first cry pierces the air—it resets us. It reminds us that despite the long hours, the paperwork, and the emotional rollercoaster, we are in the business of miracles.
So, Why Do We Do It?
We do it for the grandmother who can finally play with her grandkids without pelvic pain. We do it for the teenager who learns that her painful periods aren’t something she has to suffer through silently. We do it for the couple who sends us a photo of their newborn baby on Diwali, captioned “Our little lights.”
At Blossom Women’s Wellness Clinic, we don’t just treat patients; we care for people. We are deeply rooted in the Bhayandar community, and we are honored to be a part of your stor
